AN APPAULLING STATE OF AFFAIRS
Larry Flynt
from HUSTLER Magazine September 2010
For about five minutes I actually thought that Rand Paul of Kentucky might be the kind of antigovernment senatorial candidate the people could get behind. We’re all looking for someone who will take on the status quo in Washington, D.C. Then Paul showed his true pro-business colors. First he admitted to “having problems” with the 1964 Civil Rights Act because it prevented private businesses from discriminating against blacks and other minorities. Then, when referring to the Gulf oil spill, he said “accidents happen” as a way of dismissing BP’s culpability.
Mr. Paul seems oblivious to the kind of horror blacks experienced in the South due to segregation. And he ignores the fact that the aforementioned “accident” appears to be negligent homicide (11 workers perished) and that it may ultimately kill all marine life in the Gulf.
To those voting in Kentucky this November, please take note: Rand Paul is the kind of libertarian who will always side with Big Business over labor. Remember that when you enter the voting booth.

What I think we need do is not just remember were these right wingers who care little for human ‘collateral damage’ in loss of living wage jobs, loss of health, and loss of lives…..perhaps someone should put a bounty on their supporters. Anyone that advertised for them, any PAC, any ‘Non-Profit’, any institution that anonymously donated to support them. Use the bounty to lure someone to reveal the REAL money behind the campaigns…from every state, from Florida to Alaska. Then when we have the proof, publicly expose them, ALL of them, from the BIG money down to the the mid level donors. This is a democracy, we ALL have a right to know who is sabotaging our country. Then, we can have our revolution, then we know who to fight. THEN we can boycott, mail in, and tear down those who corrupted our nation through dividing us with propaganda…and purge them like the parasitical cancer that they are on us all.

Dear Mr. Flint,
FIrst I gotta say it- you sir are my hero & I thank you for what you have done to protect our freedoms!
As for the rest of it, I’m not sure that you will agree but none the less it is what I believe. I do not see “an appaulling state of affairs” I only see business as usual. In fact, I see our entire government as nothing but the bitches of corporations (the rich ones that is). At every turn there is nothing but laws passed to keep those interests in power. And sadly, I believe that was the plan from the very start.
If the founding fathers were alive to see us today I believe they would not be appalled in the slightest, but rather standing there with an ear to ear grin while sporting the biggest boner of their life! Lets face it, this country was founded by the merchant class who were fleeing oppression from the king, the church, and the establishment. The “rights” we have were meant not for all men but rather the gentleman class of merchants! They never envisioned laws for the mere peasants! Hell, common folk weren’t even a consideration- just trash that served its purpose. They (the founding fathers) wanted a place were they didn’t have to pay the king, or make offerings to the church, and had a fair shot at succeeding in a market that wasn’t flooded- just as we are now!
If anything, it was an accident or at best of little consequence that we have the rights we do. Worst of all is the illusion that this country was founded under the guise of seeking religious freedom! The only freedom sought was to escape the pocket picking long arm of the church! And what rich fuck ISN’T pious? There ought to be a bumper sticker- Got bank/Got God. The nerve of the rich believing they are blessed for their stewartness towards their brother is an abomination!
It’s supposed to be brothers keeper- NOT master!
Please do not get me wrong! I love this country & I’m proud to be American! It is just exhausting to watch the good people, who ARE the fabric of this nation, be prostituted day after day. Government protects big money, big money exploits workers, and workers bend over backwards to please big money! Why? Because we need a fucking job! Middle class has been undermined for decades and there isn’t much left! Benefits cost to much, and raises aren’t viable in today’s economic climate…. Yet big money posts record profits!!! And what the hell is a “stay-cation” & why does everyone think its a joke?
I do not see how elections are going to free the people. the elected officials DON’T represent us, the corporations will never give is workers more than it HAS to, and the institution is geared towards oppression over freedom! Think I’m being harsh? then look:
1. freedom of speech zones in Washington
2. Dead peasant policies
3. Eminent Domain
4. Two party system
5. Lets not forget the Supreme Courts Bush/Gore ruling
6. T.A.R.P.
7. Supreme Courts ruling that religious fucks CAN taunt mourners at their loved ones funeral! Saying he/she deserved to die!
8. Patriot Act
9.Big Brother
I’m sorry for looking at a great country with such a cynical eye but DAMN! Please show me where our leaders AREN’T fucking us over and please show me where people get honest money of their honest effort! And most of all- please explain why everyone hasn’t picked up arms against the institutions who are keeping us down? Guess we are all to busy bitching about Dems/Repubs while the store is being robbed blind!
Wish you the best-
a fan
