Obama, No, You Can’t

Mr. President: I’m sure you realize that for the 2012 Presidential campaign you cannot use the same threadbare rhetoric which helped get you elected in 2008. “Yes, We Can” and “The Audacity of Hope” have lost the power they once held. Young voters, black voters, progressive voters and swing voters are no longer seduced by them. You need something new. So here are a few suggestions: “This Time I Mean It” speaks directly to voter concerns about your willingness to fight for the people. “The Other Guy Is Worse Than Me” will no doubt also have a ring of truth to it. Then there’s “Don’t Blame Me—I Voted for McCain.” Those foregoing slogans probably need some fine-tuning, but here’s one I think is perfect for you: “The Audacity of Compromise.” Well, I’m sure you’ll come up with something. You have to. As it stands, you can no longer count on any of the groups that supported your Presidential bid last time around.

Let’s go with ” The Audacity of Compromise.” I love it! What a disappointment he’s been. What happened to that guy I campaigned and voted for? Were we all duped? Looks that way to me! Holding hands with the Conservative fringe and singing kumbaya is beginning to ware on my very last nerve! The excuses and the apologies from the circle D ranchers are driving me nuts. I’ve Liberal Democrat all my life and have had contended with the Corporate Blue Dogs [Republicans with a D before their names], but, this is just out of control! He’s dragging the entire party down with him. I still can’t believe a Republican took Anthony Weiners seat! That should have sent shock waves through the Democratic Party. On that note, don’t get me started on Pelosi and her crew of henchmen that call themselves Progressives that asked for his resignation. For what? He’s the only man I know that resigned for not having sex! Hell I’ve seen better crotch shot’s in speedo’s for pete’s sake! As for Obama, I’m Obummed!

  2. Karen Says:

I can’t believe any of you fell for Obama in the first place. How in the hell did that happen?

  3. Thurstle Mullen Says:

    Dear Larry,

I would like to speak with you about a matter that I think would greatly interest you concerning government corruption and abuse. My website, rewardfactor.com, offers cash rewards, I like to call em “Bounties” on politicians, police, and other government officials. Check it out for yourself. Then give me a call. I think you are the prefect partner for my business venture.

    Sincerely,
    Thurstle

Democrats and Republicans may as well merge in to one party. Other than the abortion issue both parties have identical platforms; the drug war, taxes, military, censorship, health care, foreign policy, etc. etc. There are exceptions, like Congressman Ron Paul, Former Governor Gary Johnson, Former Governor Jesse Ventura, and a few others, but the overwhelming majority of Democrats and Republicans agree on everything and work their hardest to screw the American public and the rest of the world. Nothing will ever change so long as people keep voting for these old parties to stay in power. Right now, Libertarians seem to be our best alternative. http://www.lp.org

  5. Daniel Almond Says:

Don’t blame me, Larry, I voted Libertarian!

  8. Savancy Says:

Thank you, Larry, for telling Obama exactly what I have wanted to say in much better, and fewer words. The Audacity of Compromise is perfect!
If you are so inclined, I hope you will advise him again, soon.
I also want to thank you for the battles you fought and the wounds you sustained in the fight for free speech.
Finally, when, as a babysitter back in my adolescent years, I read my employers’ copies of Hustler. I learned so much about sex that by the time I was old enough to enjoy it, I had learned how to make sex magical.
You are a hero in my, and many, many others’ lives.
